I refuse to consider the notion that Queen Mara is dead. In my mind, in my heart, I know she’s gone. But what you believe and what you see as truth do not have to be the same thing. And so, in whatever way I can, I will keep hope alive. Stupid though it might be.
“Tips for Recognizing and Interpreting Guardian Behavioral and Psychological Responses Following Combat in the Crucible:
Warlocks:
Victory: Only logical; hence un-celebratable. Greeted with an absolute refusal to boast, lest the Hunters try harder next time.
Defeat: Hours of focused thought directed at analysis of past three months of Crucible competition, in order to determine the cause(s) of and solution(s) to any identifiable strategic or reactionary errors.
Titans:
Victory: Chests are held high to the extent at which breathing issues are acquired, grim-faced high-fives are occasionally exchanged. On rare occasions, loud grunts or roars expressing physical pride and joy born of crushing the enemy are emitted once helms have been removed.
Defeat: Hours of brooding while seated on the City walls, followed by head-hanging journeys to Lord Shaxx and, depending on the Titan in question, Zavala as well; for pick-me-up speeches that are five parts motivational and one part severely disappointed.
Hunters:
Victory: Picked the right cloak.
Defeat: Change the damn cloak.”
